Block Parties

With Lakewood’s grid layout, residential nature, and density, block parties are an annual tradition for many streets throughout the city. If your street is interested in hosting a block party, learn more here and fill out an application.

Block Party Rules and Regulations

  • Permits will be issued for dates between April and October.  No permits will be issued for October 31.
  • Permits are issued on a first come, first serve basis. Permits may be limited to a maximum number per weekend.
  • A Block Party Permit must be obtained at least 2 weeks prior to the event.
  • Barricades for the block party will be dropped off and picked up at the Block Party Chairperson’s home.
