Public Transportation

Overview

Lakewood is served by the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (GCRTA). Their service includes five bus lines (the 25, 26/26A, 55A/55B/55C, 78, and 83) pass through Lakewood with several stops on each line.

The GCRTA’s Rapid Transit Red Line stops at the station at W. 117th Street and Madison as well as at Triskett across the southern border in Cleveland. The Red Line provides service to Tower City in Downtown Cleveland, Cleveland Hopkins Airport, University Circle, and many other destinations.

Paratransit

Division of Aging Transportation Services

The City of Lakewood’s Division of Aging offers transportation for seniors to and from medical appointments and to get to and from Cove Community Center. the division’s vans also provide transportation for city-scheduled trips to grocery stores, restaurants, and other areas of interest.
