The City of Lakewood is seeking volunteers to serve on the Community Reinvestment Area Housing Council (CRAHC). The deadline to apply for this volunteer position is Friday, May 1st.
The CRAHC is an advisory board that helps to evaluate the performance of the City’s Community Reinvestment Area Council.

Community Reinvestment Area Housing Council
Purpose
Ohio Revised Code Section 3735.69 Community reinvestment area housing council
The City of Lakewood has established Community Investment Areas (CRA) throughout the city as a way to incentivize development and re-investment under specific parameters.
Membership
The council is composed of two members appointed by the Mayor, two members appointed by City Council, and one member appointed by the Planning Commission. The majority of these members appoint two additional members.
Applicants must reside in the City of Lakewood and should have knowledge of and experience in real estate, development, housing, finance, or a related field. Appointees will serve for a three-year term.
Meeting Schedule
The CRAHC meets once a year to review all CRAs to compile a status report to submit to the Director of Planning & Development summarizing the activities and projects for which an exemption has been granted in that area.
